Our client is a highly specialised and fast growing trading boutique. They run algorithmic electronic trading models and base their platform on distributed low latency systems involving complex multi-threading. An opportunity has now arisen for a Java Technical Architect / Java Developer to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a senior IT professional with Core Java, data modeling and client/server experience looking to further their career with a company offering scope for progression.
As a Java Technical Architect / Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and writing a complex trading GUI application.
As you progress, your position will develop into a broader Java programming role, working on different components of the trading application. This will include performance improvement, market connectors and risk systems.
If you are passionate about programming and finding solutions, and if you enjoy working under pressure in a dynamic and challenging trading environment, this is the role for you.
To be considered for the position of Java Technical Architect / Java Developer, you must have experience in the following:
- Core Java J2SE (not web)
- data modelling and SQL
- client server communication and multithreading
- performance tuning
Experience of building a GUI (graphic user interface) in Swing or Awt would be beneficial to your application.
